Clean, Green Settlement Tank

ASP has pioneered another first with the introduction of portable aerated settlement tanks as part of its dewatering program.

Now in use on sites on the Sunshine Coast and Tweed, the ASP aerated settlement tanks hold up to 16,000 litres of groundwater and can process 270 litres a minute.

Weighing two tonnes unloaded, the portable aerated settlement tank sets the benchmark for best environmental management practices.

Using an aerator and baffle system, the tanks progressively drop solids out of solution, resulting in cleaner water being passed into ASP’s patented dewatering filtration system.

Cleaner water entering the filtration system requires a lower level of chemicals to treat to environmental requirements compared to water that is high in particulate matter. Use of fewer chemicals represents not only a cost saving, but also massive benefits for the environment.
