Erosion Protection For Communities

When Mother Nature unleashes her fury, coastal communities need to feel secure.

Foreshore assets need to be protected by walls strong enough to survive the onslaught of king tides, cyclonic weather, the gouging effects of pounding seas. And the environment needs to be protected with a building system that is sensitive to the environment, causing minimal disruption during construction and returning the area around it, including groundwater, to pristine condition.

Now you can have both with ASP’s proven revetment and secant wall construction methods.

Deployed successfully on the Gold Coast, the Tweed and now being installed in major erosion zones around iconic Byron Bay, these walls provide the perfect solution for developers and local government looking to protect foreshores and infrastructure.

Secant Walls are the ideal retaining solution for challenging sites such as beaches where sand and high water tables make other forms of retaining more difficult or expensive to employ.

The overlapping concrete piles that form a Secant Pile Wall create a water resistant wall which eliminates issues of scouring caused by tides and weather and provides a sound base/foundation to protect buildings and other infrastructure from being undermined.

Secant Pile Walls can also follow landscaping profiles for aesthetically pleasing finishes in public areas and, importantly, the method of installation results in less noise and vibration than the traditional sheet pile method.

Revetment walls are a permanent structure designed to prevent the types of subsidence that commonly occur adjacent to all waterways and the ocean. By definition, it is a protective covering on an embankment of earth designed to maintain the slope or to protect it from erosion.

Pre-cast Revetment Wall Systems can be installed efficiently with various ranges and sizes available. ASP recently constructed revetment walls for the Surfers Paradise Foreshore Redevelopment.

ASP’s innovative design and installation system minimises impact on surrounding environment during installation which also makes final land and dune scaping quick and seamless.

Our internationally patented dewatering technology ensures that all groundwater used is returned to the environment is high quality and contaminant free.

ASP’s dewatering system is first choice for many local government authorities and private contractors.
